Business Talent (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 132)

This visa has multiple streams which allows experienced business owners to operate new or existing businesses within Australia.

The streams are:

• Significant Business History Stream
• Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream

What can you do with a Subclass 132 Visa?

• Stay in Australia permanently
• Work and study anywhere in Australia
• Enrol in Medicare
• Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence
• Travel to and from Australia without restriction for 5 years
• If eligible, become an Australian citizen
• Develop an existing, or establish a new business in Australia

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Be nominated by an Australian state or territory
• Be invited to apply for the visa
• Be able to show proof of a successful business career
• Have adequate English language ability
• Be of good health and character

For the Significant Business History Stream

• Have net assets of AUD 1.5 million or more
• Have business turnover of AUD 3 million or more

For the Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream

• Have secured at least AUD 1 million in funding from an Australia venture capital firm
• Intend to use funding for a high-value business idea

Application Process

1. Check your eligibility
2. Submit an EOI and receive a valid nomination
3. Organise health exams
4. Inform the Department of Home Affairs if you are planning to engage the services of a registered migration agent to help you apply for the visa
5. Gather relevant documents (identity, venture capital funding, assets, family members on application etc.)
6. Apply for visa online via ImmiAccount
7. Post relevant documents
8. Pay the application fee
9. Wait, and be notified of outcome (case-by-case basis)
