Victoria University Bachelor of Nursing July 2026 Intake Open for Applications – Scholarships of Up to 30% Available

For international students planning to study nursing in Australia, a new application opportunity is now available for 2026. According to the latest admission update from Victoria University (VU), applications for the Bachelor of Nursing July 2026 intake are now open.

Places are limited, and eligible applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.

As clinical placement arrangements are required for nursing programs, places are limited and applications may close once the intake quota has been reached.

 

Scholarships for International Students

Eligible international students applying for the Bachelor of Nursing may receive scholarship support.

  • First Year 10% tuition fee reduction
  • Subsequent Years Based on the student’s previous year’s WAM (Weighted Average Mark): Scholarships ranging from 10% to 30%

Students who maintain strong academic performance may be eligible for higher levels of scholarship support in subsequent years.

 

English Language Requirements

Applicants for the Bachelor of Nursing must meet the English language requirements applicable to nursing registration standards in Australia.

  • IELTS Academic
  • Listening: 7.0
  • Reading: 7.0
  • Speaking: 7.0
  • Writing: minimum 6.5

VU accepts IELTS results from two sittings, subject to the relevant requirements of the Australian nursing regulatory framework.

 

What If You Do Not Meet the Entry Requirements for the Bachelor of Nursing?

VU also offers an alternative study option for students who do not meet the entry requirements for the Bachelor of Nursing: the Bachelor of Health Science (3 years).

 

Bachelor of Health Science (3-Year Program)

Key features of this option include:

  • An internal pathway from Bachelor of Health Science (HBHL) to Bachelor of Nursing (HBNB);
  • Students who successfully transfer will receive exemptions for four units within the Bachelor of Nursing;
  • Selection for transfer into the Bachelor of Nursing is based on a ranking system;
  • Suitable for students interested in science and health-related fields who are still exploring their preferred career pathway.

  • Application deadline: 17 July 2026 (or when places are filled)
  • Acceptance deadline: 22 July 2026 (or when places are filled)
